Privacy Policy

How Vivi handles personal data, under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What we collect

By default, nothing. Vivi is a static website. We do not run third-party analytics, advertising trackers, or heat-mapping tools. If you email us — to subscribe to the Dispatch or to ask a question — your email address and message are retained only as long as needed to send the newsletter or respond.

Embedded maps

Restaurant reviews include an embedded Google Map showing the venue's location. The map loads from Google only when it scrolls into view; at that point Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies, as described in the Google Privacy Policy. The page works without the map if you block third-party content.

Lawful basis

Newsletter storage: consent — you asked to be added. Correspondence: legitimate interest — replying to you.

Your rights

You may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data at any time — one email to the address on the contact page is enough, and the same goes for unsubscribing from the Dispatch.

The Information Commissioner's Office handles data-protection complaints — ico.org.uk.
